Background

Film producer convicted of rape in separate criminal proceedings. Appears in Jeffrey Epstein's black book with five phone numbers, placing him among the more frequently listed contacts (dc-25547587). Department of Justice telephone message logs from Epstein's residence record at least one direct message from Weinstein on November 21, 2004 (d-13439), with an additional log documenting a conversation between ‘Cecile’ and Weinstein in connection with messages for ‘Jeffrey’ (d-13481).

Police-confiscated phone message logs from Epstein's Florida property, dating to February 2005, reference Weinstein alongside Donald Trump and David Copperfield as regular celebrity contacts (d-19274, d-22571, d-31167). Weinstein and Epstein were part of an investor group in 2003 that attempted to purchase New York magazine; both men shared connections to publicist Peggy Siegal and to Bill Clinton. Epstein's victims told reporters that Epstein introduced them to Weinstein and used his Hollywood connections as a tool of grooming.

Victim Chauntae Davies stated Epstein introduced her to Weinstein, which led to an audition. Epstein reportedly ended the relationship with Weinstein after Weinstein acted too aggressively with one of Epstein's victims. In January 2026 DOJ file releases, Epstein's November 21, 2017 email to Siegal read: ‘charlie, harvey, brett. louis... jeffrey is looking better and better,’ showing Epstein monitored the MeToo fallout and drew comparisons between himself and the accused.

An FBI crisis intake report in the 2026 release contains unverified allegations from an anonymous victim placing Weinstein in the same location as Jay-Z; the DOJ cautioned these intake files are unverified raw submissions, not evidence of charged conduct. Weinstein publicly stated his crimes were ‘nothing’ like Epstein's.
