Victims' rights attorney at Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart and Shipley in West Palm Beach who represented several of Jeffrey Epstein's victims in civil lawsuits. Scarola played a central role in challenging the constitutionality and legality of the 2008 non-prosecution agreement that shielded Epstein and unnamed co-conspirators from federal prosecution. He was among the lead attorneys who argued before Judge Kenneth Marra that the agreement violated the Crime Victims' Rights Act by keeping victims uninformed.
His work contributed directly to Marra's February 2019 ruling that prosecutors had violated the Act. Scarola also represented victims in depositions and filings in the associated civil cases against Ghislaine Maxwell, Lesley Groff, and others. He has given numerous public statements and media interviews on behalf of his clients and has been a consistent advocate for the rights of trafficking survivors within the federal court system.
His name appears in hundreds of EFTA case filings, deposition transcripts, and motion papers across the Southern District of Florida docket.
