Rockefeller & Co. Ties to Former Bush Administration Official and Rothschild Stake Sale

Rockefeller & Co. Ties to Former Bush Administration Official and Rothschild Stake Sale The passage identifies a former Bush administration official, Reuben Jeffery III, now CEO of Rockefeller & Co., and describes a sale of a stake from Société Générale to Lord Jacob Rothschild's RIT Capital Partners. This suggests potential political‑financial nexus and possible influence‑peddling, offering concrete names, dates, and transaction details that merit follow‑up. However, the information is largely public and lacks direct evidence of wrongdoing, limiting its immediate impact. Key insights: Reuben Jeffery III, former Goldman Sachs partner, served as George Bush's undersecretary of state for economic, energy, and agricultural affairs and post‑9/11 special advisor.; Jeffery is now CEO of Rockefeller & Co., a major family‑wealth advisory firm.; In June 2008 Société Générale sold a 37% stake in Rockefeller & Co. to Lord Jacob Rothschild's RIT Capital Partners.
