Celebrity chef and restaurateur who served as Jeffrey Epstein's personal chef from 1999 to 2003. Trained at Le Cordon Bleu and worked under Guy Savoy and Daniel Boulud before becoming known as a grilling authority. Lang accompanied Epstein on private jet travel and is named repeatedly in Epstein's flight logs.
He reported primarily to Ghislaine Maxwell, whom he believed was Epstein's girlfriend. The FBI interviewed Lang by video conference in 2021; his attorneys confirmed he cooperated fully with federal investigators. He told the FBI that Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew visited Epstein at various properties.
Lang later opened the APL restaurant in Hollywood, which closed in 2022. He is a close friend of Jimmy Kimmel. No allegations of personal wrongdoing in connection with Epstein's crimes have been made against Lang.
