Background

MIT Institute Professor Emeritus, widely regarded as the founder of modern linguistics and one of the most cited scholars in history. His relationship with Jeffrey Epstein began in March 2012 after an introduction by physicist Lawrence Krauss. OCR-searchable DOJ EFTA files contain 7,600+ hits referencing Chomsky in Epstein's correspondence.

Documented interactions include lunches at Epstein's New Mexico ranch, dinners at the Manhattan townhouse, use of Epstein-provided apartments, and a visit to the Paris apartment. Epstein arranged introductions between Chomsky and former Israeli PM Ehud Barak. On February 23, 2019, the day after the Miami Herald published its expose on Epstein's 2008 plea deal, Chomsky met with Epstein and provided advice on media strategy.
