FINANCIAL ADVISORY: In 2008, Zuckerman sought Epstein's estate planning services, with Epstein proposing fee arrangements of $21 million to $30 million.
Zuckerman continued retaining Epstein as a financial adviser between 2013 and 2015, years after Epstein's 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor. BUSINESS VENTURES: In 2004, Zuckerman was part of a group assembled to acquire New York magazine that also included Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein. Separately, Zuckerman and Epstein co-invested in a celebrity magazine called Radar.
MEDIA INFLUENCE: According to documents released by the DOJ in 2026 and reported by Al Jazeera and The American Prospect, Epstein leveraged his relationship with Zuckerman after his 2008 conviction to seek favorable coverage and suppress reporting on his sex crimes in the New York Daily News. The two men communicated regularly and arranged meetings at Epstein's Manhattan townhouse over many years. BIRTHDAY ALBUM: Zuckerman signed Epstein's 2003 birthday album alongside other prominent figures.
As of March 2026, no charges have been filed against Zuckerman in connection with Epstein's crimes.
