Background

Pioneer of artificial intelligence and co-founder of MIT's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, widely considered one of the fathers of the AI field. Received a $100,000 research grant from Epstein in 2002, which was the first known Epstein grant to MIT. Described by MIT Media Lab founder Nicholas Negroponte as ‘Epstein's closest friend at MIT, who even visited him in jail.’ Attended the 2006 scientific conference at Epstein's Little St.

James island organized by physicist Lawrence Krauss. Virginia Giuffre named Minsky in court depositions as one of the men she was directed to have sexual contact with on the island, when Minsky was approximately 73 years old. Died on January 24, 2016, at age 88, from a cerebral hemorrhage.

His widow Gloria Rudisch denied the allegations, and no lawsuit was filed against his estate.
