Background

Former White House Chief of Staff to President Trump (2020-2021) and former U.S. Representative from North Carolina's 11th congressional district (2013-2020). Meadows was a founder of the House Freedom Caucus and a close Trump ally.

He is named on the DOJ's 305-name list of government officials and politically exposed persons identified in the Epstein files released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The list, transmitted by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche to Congress in February 2026, identifies individuals whose names appear at least once in the 3.5 million pages of released materials, without specifying context or nature of the reference. Among at least half a dozen senior Trump administration officials identified in the files, Meadows's inclusion is most consistent with his name appearing in political correspondence, news clippings, or government documents within the seized materials.

No reporting has identified a direct personal relationship between Meadows and Epstein.
