Former Australian Prime Minister (2007-2010, 2013) and current Australian Ambassador to the United States, appointed in 2023. DOJ-released EFTA files show Rudd's name on Epstein's daily meeting schedule for June 8, 2014, at 4:30 p.m., the same day Epstein flew from his private island to New York for a series of appointments. Two days before the scheduled meeting, on June 6, 2014, Epstein emailed his assistant Lesley Groff about a Sunday lunch, writing that Kevin Rudd was also coming and asking that non-vegetarian food be available.
Rudd denied ever visiting Epstein or having direct contact with him. His office stated there is no evidence of any direct contact between Epstein and either Rudd or his staff. Rudd's name appears more than 100 times across the released files.
The discrepancy between the scheduling documents and Rudd's denials attracted significant media coverage in Australia and internationally.
