In 2019, Bezos's security chief Gavin de Becker investigated the leak of Bezos's extramarital affair to the National Enquirer, concluding ‘with high confidence that the Saudis had access to Bezos's phone,’ though the FBI later stated it could not substantiate the Saudi hacking claims. No documented connection between this investigation and Epstein was established.
