Background

American entrepreneur, co-founder of Coinbase and Paradigm. DOJ-released EFTA emails show Ehrsam discussed a possible meeting with Epstein in December 2014 as Epstein prepared to make a $3 million investment in Coinbase's Series C round. Ehrsam wrote ‘Would be nice to meet him if convenient’ about Epstein.

The investment was introduced by Brock Pierce and Blockchain Capital. It is unclear whether the meeting ever took place. Blockchain Capital later negotiated in 2018 to buy half of Epstein's Coinbase stake for approximately $14.7 million.
