Legendary American broadcast journalist (November 4, 1916 - July 17, 2009). He anchored the CBS Evening News from 1962 to 1981 and was widely known as "the most trusted man in America" following his reporting on the Kennedy assassination, the Apollo moon landing, and the Vietnam War. Flight logs made public by the House Oversight Committee show that a "Walter Cronkite" flew on Epstein's Boeing 727 from Newark, New Jersey to St.
Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands on January 12, 2007, at age 90. Cronkite was an avid sailor who maintained a home in the region, which may explain the USVI route.
He died in 2009. No allegations of wrongdoing were ever made.
