Wafic Said is a Syrian-born Saudi businessman who served as a key broker in the Al-Yamamah arms deal, the largest export contract in British history, a multi-billion pound agreement between the UK government, BAE Systems, and Saudi Arabia negotiated in the 1980s. Investigations into the deal alleged that Said and other intermediaries received commissions totaling millions of pounds into Swiss accounts. In 1996 Said donated 20 million pounds to Oxford University to found the Said Business School, a gift that prompted protests over his role in the arms deal.
He appeared in Epstein's address book listed with four phone numbers. No allegations of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein have been made.
