Background

Nathaniel "Nat" Rothschild, 5th Baron Rothschild (born 1971), is a British-born Canadian financier and hereditary peer. He co-chaired the hedge fund Atticus Capital from 1996 until its dissolution in 2009, when the fund managed around $20 billion at its peak. He subsequently invested in Glencore ahead of its 2011 IPO.

Rothschild appeared in Epstein's address book. DOJ-released documents show that Peter Mandelson told Epstein he had sought Rothschild's advice about a potential role at Lazard, and that Epstein lobbied JPMorgan to underwrite a 700 million pound investment vehicle linked to Rothschild. No allegations of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein have been made.
