Michael Bloomberg (born February 14, 1942) served as Mayor of New York City from 2002 to 2013 and is the founder and majority owner of Bloomberg LP, the global financial data and media company. He ran unsuccessfully for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. Bloomberg's name appears in Epstein's black book.
A flight log entry from August 5, 2001 documents Bloomberg aboard Epstein's Boeing 727, traveling from New Jersey to Palm Beach alongside Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Sarah Kellen, prior to Epstein's 2008 conviction. DOJ documents released in 2025-2026 and reporting by The Reload reveal that Bloomberg had more contact with Epstein and Maxwell than was previously known. In September 2010, Epstein's assistant obtained Bloomberg's contact information from Maxwell and sent an invitation to a party Epstein was hosting for former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
Epstein described himself as "a long-time supporter of Bloomberg" in a written communication. In 2013, Bloomberg and Maxwell were photographed together at a book party at the Four Seasons Restaurant in New York City. Epstein was invited to Bloomberg-organized or Bloomberg-attended events including a screening for Katie Couric's documentary "Fed Up" in 2014, a cocktail party for the film "The Imitation Game" in 2015, and a Bloomberg-hosted fundraiser for U.S.
Virgin Islands Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett in 2018. Deutsche Bank Wealth Management, which later processed transactions for Epstein, invited both Epstein and Bloomberg to previews of the Frieze London art show in 2017 and 2018. Maxwell's mother wrote in a 2003 email that she knew Bloomberg personally and had lunch with him.
No allegations of wrongdoing have been made against Bloomberg in connection with Epstein. The available emails do not contain direct correspondence between Bloomberg and Epstein, and there is no evidence Bloomberg visited Epstein's private island or residences.
