American cartoonist and television producer born February 15, 1954, in Portland, Oregon. He is the creator of The Simpsons (1989-present), the longest-running American primetime scripted television series, as well as Futurama (1999-2023) and Disenchantment (2018-2023). In unsealed court documents from 2019, Virginia Giuffre stated that when she was approximately 16, Epstein directed her to give Groening a foot massage during a flight from Carmel, California to Los Angeles in the early 2000s (flight records suggest 2001).
Giuffre described Groening as polite and said he drew her signed sketches of Homer and Bart Simpson afterward. The documents do not allege sexual misconduct by Groening, and no criminal charges have been brought against him.
