Russian-born venture capitalist and founder of Day One Ventures, now known by her married name Masha Bucher. She served as a federal commissioner and public spokesperson for Nashi, a pro-Kremlin youth movement, from 2007 to 2011, before emigrating and launching a career in Silicon Valley. In 2017, Drokova approached Science magazine journalist Jeffrey Mervis identifying herself as Epstein's publicist and media representative.
DOJ-released files mention her name more than 1,600 times. In February 2026 she broke her public silence, writing that she had sought out Epstein in 2017 after her father lost his job and she faced what she described as "constant threats and scrutiny from the Russian government." She stated she gave up her Russian passport following Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Day One Ventures now manages approximately $450 million invested across technology companies in quantum computing, nuclear energy, brain-computer interfaces, and AI security.
