John Kerry served as the 68th U.S. Secretary of State from 2013 to 2017, as U.S. Senator from Massachusetts from 1985 to 2013, and as the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee.
Under President Biden he served as the first U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate from 2021 to 2025. Kerry's name appears in Epstein's black book on page 74, where Epstein recorded 7 phone numbers and one address associated with Kerry.
Public campaign-finance records show that Epstein made four donations of $1,000 each to Kerry's political campaigns between 1991 and 2002, totaling $4,000. Kerry is also named on the DOJ's February 2026 list of 305 politically exposed persons and government officials whose names appear at least once in the millions of documents released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. As with others on that list, inclusion does not constitute an allegation of wrongdoing; names appear for various reasons including contact list entries, news clippings, and forwarded emails.
No allegations of personal misconduct involving Kerry have been made in connection with Epstein.
