Epstein was an early investor in Dubin's hedge fund and later helped JPMorgan acquire Highbridge Capital. Epstein served as godfather to the Dubins' children. Virginia Giuffre alleged in a 2016 deposition that she was directed by Epstein to have sexual contact with Dubin while Andersson-Dubin was pregnant and sleeping in the next room.
Rinaldo Rizzo, a former Dubin butler, testified he witnessed a young woman at the Dubin residence who appeared distressed and said she had been brought there by Epstein. No criminal charges have been filed against Dubin. Bloomberg investigations published in February 2026, drawing on the DOJ Epstein file releases, documented how Eva Andersson-Dubin served as a key gateway for Epstein's access to the hedge fund world.
She introduced hedge fund manager David Fiszel to Epstein in early 2016, which led to a significant investment in Fiszel's Honeycomb Asset Management. A second Bloomberg report (February 28, 2026) detailed how Epstein's emails repeatedly invoked "Dr. Eva" to gain entrée to medical and financial institutions, including Mount Sinai Hospital, where the Dubin Breast Center carries the family's name.
The DOJ files show Epstein's correspondence with the Dubins continued until shortly before his 2019 death. Dubin appears in Epstein's black book and flight logs. He has denied all allegations through attorneys.
