Erika Kellerhals is a U.S. Virgin Islands tax attorney who played a central and multifaceted role in Jeffrey Epstein's legal and financial operations. She served as trustee of the Butterfly Trust ; the same trust that made payments to trafficking victims ; after being designated successor trustee by Darren Indyke (EFTA01472226), with Deutsche Bank confirming her role (EFTA01435062).
Kellerhals organized Gratitude America Ltd, an $8.175M shell entity with $1 revenue and zero grants, serving as its Secretary, Treasurer, and Director. She handled the 9 East 71st Street deed (EFTA01304285, listing her as return address), organized Great St. Jim LLC for the $22.5M purchase of Epstein's private island, and was the subject of Deutsche Bank AML screening (EFTA01297082).
Kellerhals gave sworn testimony to the Economic Development Commission that is now being used as prosecution evidence in USVI v. JPMorgan Chase. She received approximately $70K in licensing fees from an Epstein entity and introduced Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett to Epstein, serving as a government access broker.
After Epstein's death in August 2019, Kellerhals submitted the estate inventory, demonstrating her continued involvement. She appears in 457+ documents with 6,996 OCR hits across the EFTA archive, making her one of the most extensively documented figures in Epstein's USVI operations.
