American architect and interior designer (1945-2020) renowned for creating the Amanpuri resort in Phuket in 1988, a project credited with establishing the Aman Resorts brand and a new standard in luxury resort design. Tuttle founded Design Realization in Paris in 1977, where he was based until his death. His firm was engaged to design and renovate the main house on Epstein's 70-acre private island, Little Saint James in the U.S.
Virgin Islands, with the project completing around 2003. Tuttle also appears in Epstein's black book. He is among multiple architects and designers whose names are noted in the contact directory, alongside figures such as Peter Marino and David Rockwell.
Tuttle's design commissions included luxury properties across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East for clients in the upper tiers of international wealth. His design work for Epstein was professional in nature. No allegations of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein were made against him.
He died in Paris on June 21, 2020.
