French film producer and daughter of politician Jack Lang. Named alongside her father in the EFTA files released January 2026. France's financial crimes prosecutors (Parquet National Financier) opened an investigation into both father and daughter on February 6, 2026, for "laundering of aggravated tax-fraud proceeds" over their financial ties with Epstein.
Caroline Lang met Epstein through mutual acquaintances in 2012, when Epstein told her he wanted to "invest in young French and international artists." In July 2016, Epstein created Prytanee LLC in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Officially an art investment vehicle, every cent that entered the structure came from Epstein's Southern Trust Company.
Caroline held a 50% stake through another Virgin Islands entity called The Pierre Trust, injecting no capital herself. The company had $1.4 million in its accounts. Lang admitted she failed to declare the company to French tax authorities but says she received no compensation from it.
She described Epstein as an "acquaintance" and said she had been "incredibly naive." Caroline also appeared in a will signed by Epstein two days before his death in August 2019, which promised her $5 million ; she stated she was unaware and never received the funds. Direct email correspondence in the EFTA files shows exchanges between Caroline, her father Jack Lang, and Epstein between 2016 and 2019, including a 2017 thread with subject "re trump."
