Simon is a longtime primary resident of Martha's Vineyard, where Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell had periodic contact with the island's close social community of writers, musicians, and political figures. The Martha's Vineyard Times reviewed the released Epstein files in February 2026 and found Epstein visited the island but was not a major presence there.
Simon's sister Joanna Simon, an opera singer, was listed separately in the same black book. Neither appears in Epstein's flight logs, and no testimony from any accuser has placed either woman at Epstein's properties or events. No allegations of wrongdoing have been made against Carly Simon in connection with Epstein.
