Background

Hollywood film and television producer (Bones, Enchanted, The Man in the High Castle, Kiss of the Spider Woman) and former President of Production at Columbia Pictures. DOJ-released emails revealed in February 2026 show a years-long friendship with Epstein that continued well past his 2008 conviction. Epstein lent Josephson $120,000 in 2011, which was repaid.

In 2013, Epstein covered a $215,000 tax bill for Josephson; Josephson wrote back, "I am overwhelmed by your friendship." Emails show Epstein asked Josephson to recommend "amazing women" in their early 20s for an assistant role; Josephson replied describing a candidate as "young, attractive, insane rack...will do anything, and tight lipped." Josephson also arranged set visits for young women in Epstein's circle and at times helped with auditions. Correspondence continued as late as 2018. In February 2026, Josephson issued a public apology: "There's no excuse for what I said in some of my emails.

The language was crude and juvenile, and I'm ashamed." He stated he attended social events with Epstein and that Epstein visited his sets twice, but denied ever traveling on his plane, visiting his island, or seeing him in the company of minors.
